MOUNTAIN SERVICES Ltd. is an independent
consulting firm specializing in oilfield inventory
control management, appraisals, materials
management, marketing and equipment sales.
Since incorporating in 1982 the company has been providing
efficient and concise service to the oil and gas industry.
Worldwide Inventory work is our business. Our inventory and
appraisal expertise has assisted oil companies, financial
institutions and many other facets of the oil industry. We
offer office and field expertise in conducting physical inventories
utilizing experienced in-house staff. Our field staff is
trained to gather accurate and precise data required to effectively
control and maintain inventory information on an ongoing
basis. Data is captured consistently utilizing our detailed
forms and field hand held computers. The evaluation of assets
follows the PASC (Petroleum Accounting Society of Canada)
standards and current industry values. In-house inventory
data management utilizes Iron Mountain’s new GAIMS
system, (Global Asset Management System). Our system has
been designed with our industry to be user friendly in navigation
and proficient in data storage, retrieval functions and reporting.
All inventory information is recorded on one of our two system
platforms; Personal/Corporate file server, or our fully web
enabled version. Our query search capabilities allow for
data retrieval by site legal information, status, items as
well numerous major descriptors collected. A wide variety
of report writing selections is also available in spreadsheet
or detail format. The reports we generate assist corporations
in materials management, acquisitions, mergers, receiverships,
tax assessments and insurance coverage. Iron Mountain can
also offer to companies, our in house data updating facilities
and services which keep records to date, and processing of
material transfers.
By standardizing industry naming conventions, coding and
packaging equipment we are able to more accurately control
the data. With our new web version, companies can now allow
for material transfer processing from their various field
offices, reducing time spent by field personnel doing paper
work. Digital photos are taken for the majority of controllable
equipment, identified for future reference and stored on
GAIMS system by location. Drawings are also electronically
stored on our system for future referencing
Iron Mountain has been successfully providing marketing
and sales expertise to the oil & gas industry for many
years. We have represented many of the major firms and have
a proven track record of sales (please see Sales and Marketing
under Services). Since forming AltaPlant & Equipment
Sales Ltd. in 1999 through a partnership with Gunning Services,
sales have steadily increased each year.
